ZEV infrastructure funding lane for infrastructure that utilizes the Megawatt Charging System (MCS). Infrastructure must serve medium or heavy-duty commercial zero-emission drayage vehicles.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Infrastructure must serve medium or heavy duty commercial zero-emission drayage vehicles using the Megawatt Charging System (MCS)
  • Applicants may be a commercial fleet vehicle operator applying on behalf of their organization, a site owner, authorized lessee, an authorized representative of an infrastructure site, or an EnergIIZE Approved Project Partner 
  • Incentive Recipient Tax Identification Number (TIN) must be in good standing with CA Secretary of State

  • Direct current fast chargers (DCFC) using the Megawatt Charging System

For: Those seeking to deploy private, public, or shared stations in California for commercial medium- and heavy-duty EV charging or hydrogen fueling.
Maximum Award: $3.75 million for EV, $5 million for hydrogen
Application Window Annually: TBD
Incentive: Up to 100% of approved eligible project costs

Eligibility criteria

  • Infrastructure must serve medium or heavy duty commercial zero-emission vehicles
  • Applicants may be a commercial fleet vehicle operator applying on behalf of their organization, a site owner, authorized lessee, an authorized representative of an infrastructure site, or an EnergIIZE Approved Project Partner
  • Projects must meet one of three readiness tiers
  • Incentive Recipient Tax Identification Number (TIN) must be in good standing with CA Secretary of State

ZEV infrastructure funding lane for drayage operations that pairs vehicle incentives, such as those from the California Air Resources Board’s (CARB) Hybrid and Zero-Emission Truck and Bus Voucher Incentive Project (HVIP) with infrastructure (EnergIIZE) incentives for electric vehicle charging and/or hydrogen fueling infrastructure equipment.

Eligibility criteria

  • Infrastructure must serve medium or heavy duty commercial zero-emission vehicles in service of drayage operations
  • Applicants may be a commercial fleet vehicle operator applying on behalf of their organization, a site owner, authorized lessee, an authorized representative of an infrastructure site, or an EnergIIZE Approved Project Partner
  • Applicant must provide proof of vehicle voucher by Step 3 of the EnergIIZE process
  • Incentive Recipient Tax Identification Number (TIN) must be in good standing with CA Secretary of State
